Me’teen

Me’teen (meh-TEE-en) is a Minbari plant, a woody-stemmed, perennial, bushy shrub.  The young twigs are harvested in early summer.  When chewed, me’teen twigs release their sap, which has a sweet, mint-like flavor.  Many Minbari, of all castes and ages, enjoy chewing me’teen; humans have also found it a pleasant habit.
